OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

An occupational therapist facilitates rehabilitation and development of patients who had lost their ability to perform daily living activities due to physical, mental, developmental, or emotional conditions. They will evaluate medical history, presented signs and symptoms of the patients and then determine an occupational therapy treatment plan that is able to meet patients’ goals and needs. To prepare patients to return to home, work/school or social activities, an occupational therapist will consult employers, family members or teachers for environment accommodation and adaptation to maximize clients’ independency.
