Someone who may need speech therapy:
- Social communication disorder: poor in social interaction
- Language disorder: difficulty understanding others or sharing thoughts, ideas and feelings
- Speech or articulation disorders: difficulty producing sounds
- Fluency disorders: difficulty with fluent speech e.g. stuttering
- Cognitive-communication disorders: difficulty communicating due to injury to part of the brain
- Feeding or swallowing disorders: unable to safely eat or drink foods and liquids
