SPEECH THERAPY

Struggle to express and communicate with others? Difficult to make friends and maintain friendships? Being teased or misunderstood by peers and adults?
It may be time to see a speech and language therapist.

Someone who may need speech therapy:

  • Social communication disorder: poor in social interaction
  • Language disorder: difficulty understanding others or sharing thoughts, ideas and feelings
  • Speech or articulation disorders: difficulty producing sounds
  • Fluency disorders: difficulty with fluent speech e.g. stuttering
  • Cognitive-communication disorders: difficulty communicating due to injury to part of the brain
  • Feeding or swallowing disorders: unable to safely eat or drink foods and liquids

Our speech and language therapist provides the following services:

  1. Initial screening
  2. Communication or language assessment
  3. Individual therapy + weekly home program
  4. Group therapy
  5. Consultation for families
  6. Parent training program
